BHDC Introduction: Brain Canada announces $4.9M grant to build reproducible AI frameworks for brain and mental health

Brain Canada has announced a $4.9 million grant to support Dr. Tristan Glatard’s transformative work in AI at CAMH on the Brain Health Data Challenge (BHDC) platform.

This platform will create a secure, privacy-compliant framework to enable AI competitions using Canadian brain health data, fostering the development of reproducible and equitable AI models. 

This work aims to utilize open AI challenges to revolutionize how brain disorders are studied, and accelerate brain health discoveries to ultimately help clinicians improve care for people living with brain and mental health disorders.
