Welcome to

Brain Health Data Challenge (BHDC) Platform

A research platform funded by Brain Canada to drive innovation with artificial intelligence (AI) in brain health

What
Frameworks, including digital infrastructures and best practices, for supporting AI prediction competitions using Canadian brain health datasets.

Who
The platform is led by Dr. Tristan Glatard, PI at CAMH, and an interdisciplinary team across six sites (CAMH, UHN, T-CAIREM, McGill, CMI and CNRS)

Why
Competitive AI challenges unify research communities and support the creation of powerful predictive models of pathology, but currently under utilized in Canadian datasets due to strict privacy rules. This project aims to drive AI innovation in mental and brain health research.

How

  • Build a secure infrastructure for responsible and collaborative use of sensitive datasets.

  • Foster collaboration between data scientists, clinical researchers, and patient groups to identify and solve clinically meaningful questions.

  • Support development of reproducible and equitable AI models.

  • Ensure open accessibility of resulting innovations.
